DFCLT Represented at Historic Conference in Washington, DC

On May 21, 2016 Dennis Farm Charitable Land Trust President and CEO, Denise Dennis, attended an historic conference, The Future of the African American Past, at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. The two-day event, the second such conference in more than thirty years, provided “an opportunity for historians to share research and ideas, take stock of recent trends, and set an agenda to guide future inquiry…in a way that captures the imagination of public audiences as well as the interest of historians.” The conference was sponsored by the American History Association, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC), the History Channel and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
